The Princess's Stories
Little Snow White
Once upon a time in winter, a queen pricked her finger while sewing and the blood dripped to the snow. The queen then wished for a child as white as snow, red as blood, and black as an ebony wood frame. Soon after she had a child, and named her Little Snow-White. Though as soon as the child was born, the queen died.
A year later the king took another wife, she was beautiful but arrogant. She had a magic mirror, and everymoring she would ask it if she was the fairest of all. The mirror always responded yes.
As Snow-White grew up she became more beautiful, one day she was even more beautiful then the queen. The queen jealous of Snow White ordered the huntsman to kill Snow White.
The huntsman obeyed taking Snow-White into the woods. He was about to kill her when she begged him not to, promising to never come back to the castle. The Hunstman let her go, believing that a wild animal would kill her. He killed a young boar and took the lungs and liver to show Snow-White was dead.
Snow white was all alone in the forest, she ran as far as she could. She eventually found a tiny house to rest in. Inside the house, everything was small but clean. She eventually fell asleep,
At night, the seven dwarfs that lived at the house returned home. They noticed that things weren't exactly the way that they left them. They eventually found Snow-White sleeping, and they thought she was so beautiful.
When Snow-White woke up. she was frightened by the dwarfs. They were nice though so she told them her story. The dwarfs made a deal that she could stay if she cleaned.
The queen believing that Snow-White was killed asked the mirror who the fairest was. The mirror once again replied that Snow- White was the fairest. The queen had to figure another way to kill Snow-White, so she disguised herself as an old woman. She acted that she was she was selling bodice lace. Snow-White allowed the queen to lace her up, but the queen did it too quick and so hard Snow-White couldn't breathe.
The dwarves came home and saw that snow white was on the ground, not breathing. They believed her to be dead, until they saw that the lace was too tight. They cut the lace, and she came back to life.
The queen returned to the mirror asking who was the fairest, and the mirror responded with Snow-White once again. Once again, the queen came up with a way to kill Snow White. This time she made a poisoned comb. The queen went back disguised as a different woman and Snow White let her in because she liked the comb so much. The queen brushed Snow- Whites' hair, and the poison took a hold and the girl fell unconscious. The dwarfs came home again and pulled the comb out of her hair. She once again awoke.
The queen once again asked her mirror who the fairest of all was, and the mirror ended up saying Snow-White. Once again the queen wants Snow-White dead. This time she made a poisoned apple. The queen disguised herself again, Snow White took a bite and she died on the spot.
The queen asked the mirror again, and the mirror answered her.
When the dwarfs came home, the found her lying on the ground. The dwarfs undid her laces, brushed her hair, washed her, but nothing helped. She was dead and they laid her on a bier. The couldn't bury her so they put her in a transparent glass coffin.
Snow-White laid there until a prince found her. The prince wanted to coffin because he claimed he couldn't live without being able to see Snow-White. The dwarfs felt pity for him and gave him the coffin. While servants were carrying the coffin, one of them tripped causing the apple to dislodged from her throat.
She was confused where she was, and then the prince explained. Snow-White loved him and went with him. The two of them were married.
The evil queen asked who fairest in the world was, and the mirror answered that the newest queen was the fairest.
The queen went to the ball and she was forced into iron shoes that had been placed in burning coals. The evil queen was was forced to dance until she fell down dead.
