The Princess's Stories
Merida
In Scotland, there was a kingdom of DunBroch which was ruled by King Fergus and Queen Elinor. They had triplet sons and one daughter named Merida. Merida wasn't like normal princesses.
Her mother announced that three clans were coming to visit and compete for Merida's hand in marriage. Merida didn't want this, but the suitors still came. Merida fought for her own hand and she won, she was sure that she didn't have to marry anyone now.
Merida ran away because her mother was furious at her for ruining everything. She ran into the woods and found a house where a witch lived. Merida begged the witch to change her mother, and the witch gave her a spell cake. Merida gave the cake to her mom and she turned her into a bear.
Afraid her mother would be endangered, they went to the woods and to the witches house. At the house they found a message, "Fate be changed, look inside, mend the bond torn by pride." Merida realized that to mend the bond she had to repair the tapestry she broke.
After sneaking into the castle, the king discovered them. The king wouldn't listen to what Merida had to say, and he attacked the bear. Merida fixed the tapestry. She found her mom and wrapped her up in the tapestry. Her mother turned back into the queen.
