Once upon a time, the king and queen finally had a child after much trouble. A christening party was held for the princess. Seven fairies are invited to be the godmothers of the princess. An old fairy also came even though she wasn't invited.  Once the gifts were given to the princess, the old fairy laid a curse on her. She stated that the princess would pierce herself on a spindle and die. Lucklily the fairy after her changed it so the princess would only be in a deep sleep for 100 years. 

 

15 or 16 years later the king and queen were away. The princess was roaming through the castle when she found an older women, who didn't know of the ban on spindles, who was spinning. The princess tried to spin, and she ended up fainting. The king placed her in the finest bed. A fairy placed a spell on the rest of the kingdom to sleep as long as the princess. 

 

100 years later a prince went hunting and heard a story of the beautiful princess in the castle. He found her, knelt beside her and she woke up. They married and the prince returned home without her. Explaining to his parents that he just got lost in the woods.  Though his mother who was an ogress was suspicious. 

 

2 years later the prince and princess had two children. A daughter named Aurora and a son named Day. Once the king died, the prince became the king and made it know that he was married and had a family. The kingdom eventually when to war and he was forced to leave. 

 

His mother started to demand to eat the children. Though the cook just served her lamb. Once the mother found this out she order the cook, cook's wife, and maidservant to be thrown into the vat.  Though the king came home unexpected and the mother threw herself into the vat.
