Mulan

Thousands of years ago in ancient China, there lived a girl named Mulan. Mulan was an only child and felt responsible for upholding her families honor.

One day the village received news that the Huns invaded. One man from every family must join the Imperial army. This meant that Mulan's father had to go fight again.

Later that night Mulan cut her hair short and put on her father's warrior clothes. As Mulan's parents slept, Mulan left to join the Imperial army in her father's place.

When she arrived at the camp, she met Captain Li Shang. She took the name Ping and the other soldiers believed that she was a man. She worked hard, but she struggled to keep up. Being told to go home, she gained respect by completing the hardest task.

Her companions wrote a letter, saying to go after the Huns. Li Shang listened, going up to the mountains being surrounded by Huns. Mulan set a firework off and cause an avalanche.

Mulan was injured in the battle, and the medics realized she was a girl. Shang was forced to leave her behind. While left behind, Mulan heard the voices of the Huns.

Mulan went to the Imperial city to warn Shang that the Huns were alive. No one would trust her or believed her. Mulan ended up saving the city, banishing the Huns, and bringing honor to her family.

Enemies

The Huns never actually invaded China during the time period that Mulan is placed in. At the time that Attila the Hun was invading Europe. The only time the Huns actually invaded or were in China was during the Han Dynasty. Which is why the Great Wall of China was built, but eventually they were defeated.

The Huns in the Mulan storyline is more than likely suppose to actually be the Mongolians since they fit the time period more. Though this is still a stretch due to the fact that the Mongolians conquered China, were in Mulan the enemies were defeated.
