Once upon a time, a beautiful princess was born. They named her Gold Tree, because of her mother Silver Tree. 

 

One day Silver Tree visited a wishing well and asked if she was the most beautiful woman in all the land. The trout responded that it was Gold tree. This made Silver Tree mad, and she wanted to get rid of Gold Tree. 

 

She told her husband that the reason she was ill was because of Gold Tree and the only way to cure her would be to kill Gold Tree. The king was horrified and sent Gold Tree to live with a prince far away, who she later married. 

 

The king gave a baked heart from a sheep and claimed that it was their daughters heart. Weeks later, Silver Tree visited the magical trout and asked who the most beautiful woman was still Gold Tree. Silver Tree is angry and races back to the palace, after finding out her daughter wasn't dead. 

 

Silver Tree finds out where Gold Tree from her husband. Silver Tree travels to where her daughter was.  

 

When Gold Tree saw her father's ship, she feared that her mother was there to kill her. Silver Tree tricked her way to see Gold Tree, Silver Tree stabbed Gold Tree in a the finger with a poison needle. Gold Tree fell to the ground and she was announced dead. 

 

 

The prince couldn't bury her, so he but her in a casket and covered her with flowers. One of the women in the village, who came to visit the princess noticed that the middle was in Gold Tree's finger and pulled it out.  When she pulled it out, Gold Tree woke up. 

 

Some weeks passed, and Silver Tree questioned the Trout again. She found out that Gold Tree was still alive and went to  go visit her daughter again. 

 

The woman who woke Gold Tree up greeted Silver Tree. They were going to drink wine to celebrate the arrival of Silver Tree, but Silver Tree poisoned the wine. Gold Tree's friend suggested that Silver Tree had to drink first since she was the guest. 

 

Guessing the wine was poisoned, Gold Tree's friend tipped back Silver Tree's cup back. This made Silver Tree swallow the wine, and a moment later she was dead.
